Free Nights

Today was very adventurous! We continued our 10am wakeup ritual and we were going to get really cute and all that jazz, but only Vik did. Amber and I are lazy obviously. So we headed downtown, ate at La Cocina which BY THE WAY has no AC. Lame. Anyway, the food was good, and then we walked over to my favorite intersection (Adams & State) to start some shopping. Amber was experiencing a horrible migraine so that kind of killed the fun, but we still trecked on. I got some tank tops at Old Navy, we wandered around XXI and H&M for a while, and then we sat in the grass at Millennium Park. Amber took a 15 minute nap and then woke up good as new! We then found a dollar and bought some soft drinks. I finally saw the bean!! It's crazy how that park wasn't done til after I left. There was a band playing where I saw Butch Walker in 2005. Crazy old memories. After the required pictures in the Bean, we walked through the garden, had some Green Tea Lemon POP, and then watched kids play in that water thing with the freaky faces. We went to the Art Museum after that since nights were free, and I really enjoyed myself. I haven't been there since about 5th grade, but I still remembered a lot of the paintings. Then we walked forever and a day down State St. to the Chicago Theatre to take pictures of the red sign. Then we took the Red line to the Brown line to the Blue line. Sheesh. We got home well after 9 and now it's like midnight and my feet hurt. Time to snooze!
